Our education portfolio benefits over 10,000 households ensuring improved access to and provision of quality and resilient education by vividly promoting right to education.
The education program sponsors the education of the needy students and works together with the School Management Committee (SMC) and Parents Teachers Association (PTA) for promoting good governance and transparency. It closely works with ADRA Connections to establish libraries and construct/repair school infrastructure.
Our non-formal education component ranges from educating small holder farmers on modern farming methods to business management training for women. Formal literacy training has also been extended to adults especially older women allowing them to reach their potential. Moreover, ADRA Nepal has experience providing education, vocational training and psychosocial support to conflict affected children, former child soldiers and school dropouts.
Our approach to education prioritizes promoting child and adolescent friendly schools, maintaining Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities, and enhancing capability of SMC and PTAs’.
