On 5th June 2022, an world environment day marked at Swargadwari municipality-2 Khal of Pyuthan and
Runtigadhi-2 and 5 Gorineta and Holeri of Rolpa. These events were marked jointly in collaboration with
Swargadwari municipality of Pyuthan and Runtigadhi rural municipality of Rolpa and ward offices as well
as sub-division forest office and police station. The objective were made aware and sensitize about the
negative impacts on the environment and plantation for conservation of the nature. The representatives
and staff from the local governments, ward offices, forest office, police station and community peoples
were involved in the saplings plantation and cleaning campaigns. The mayor and chairperson of both
LGs and elected representatives of ward offices emphasized to community for preservation of cultivated
saplings.
The GOAL-II project is funded by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
(DFAT) which implementing by ADRA Nepal in partnership with local district partners namely FIRDO
Nepal Pyuthan and RUDAS Nepal Rolpa from July 2019 with aiming to empower women and increase
income of poor and vulnerable peoples through resilient and livelihood options and business
development services.
