Samvardhan Project in Conclave on Circularity

The Samvardhan Project participated in the Conclave on Circularity in Nepal – II, held in Butwal. Funded by the European Union, the Roots of Circularity initiative—led by Impact Hub (IHA) in partnership with World Conservation Nepal (WCN)—invited the Samvardhan Project to take part in the conclave.

The Samvardhan Project team, along with six inspiring forest-based, farm-based, and eco-tourism enterprises, participated in the event, showcasing innovative solutions that promote a sustainable circular economy. From eco-friendly products to nature-based tourism, the participation highlighted the power of collaboration in driving a greener future.

During the exhibition, Her Excellency Ms. Véronique Lorenzo, Ambassador of the European Union; EU delegate Ms. Bandana Thapa; Honourable Minister Mr. Parchand Bikram Nepane, Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Culture, and Transport, Lumbini Province; and Secretary Mr. Narad Gautam visited the stalls and met with entrepreneurs supported by the grant – Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) through the Samvardhan Project. The grant provided $164,301 allocated to 21 selected local enterprises.

The Samvardhan Project, funded by the European Union, Austrian Development Cooperation and ADRA, is working with partners, ANSAB Nepal, FECOFUN and BEE Group to support over 11,000 people living near Bardiya and Banke National Parks. The Project is working with community forest user groups, farmer groups and community-based enterprises for sustainable forest management, managing human-wildlife conflict and developing the local economy through green jobs.
