58th National Children’s Day Marked

On 14th September 2022, the 58th National Children’s Day was marked at Rolpa and Pyuthan under the GOAL II project with the slogan of Foundation of Child-friendly Society: Responsible Family, Accountable Society” aiming to aware and sensitize about child rights, the importance of education, and violence against children.

The events were organized jointly in collaboration with Swargadwari municipality of Pyuthan and Runtigadhi rural municipality of Rolpa and ward offices, schools as well LGs level children’s networks. Various awareness-raising activities such as mass rallies, debates, quiz contests, and games on child rights and the importance of child education were performed with the participation of students, teachers, parents, elected representatives of LGs, and development partners. All of the competitors were appreciated and awarded for their crucial participation in the events. The celebration events were coordinated by children’s networks also.

The GOAL-II project is funded by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) which implementing by ADRA Nepal in partnership with local district partners namely FIRDO Nepal Pyuthan and RUDAS Nepal Rolpa from July 2019 with aiming to empower women and increase the income of poor and vulnerable peoples through resilient and livelihood options and business development services.
