A workshop on Sustainability of quality Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) services was conducted from 22 to 24 October 2019 in Hetauda.
A total of 35 Visiting Service Providers (VSP) and 9 project officers of project implementing districts attended the workshop.
The objective of the workshop was to acquaint VSP with knowledge of Minimum Service Standard (MSS) tools adopted from Ministry of Health and Population. VSPs will use the QI/MSS tools in government health facilities to ensure the quality of service provided by service providers along with the action plan.
“We will conduct the site assessment of LARC services using Family Planning QI assessments of health facilities and report the findings to the concerned local health authorities”, said Sandhya Devkota, VSP from Rupandehi district. The same tool is used at follow up visits for monitoring.
The program was organized under UNFPP project funded by DFID/UNFPA.
