Management Division (MD), Department of Health Services (DOHS) with the financial and technical support From ADRA Nepal organized four- day training on Basic Health Logistics and Procurement system in Achham District from 20 August to 23 August 2018.
A total of 33 participants from all of Achham District palikas (municipalities/rural municipalities) level health coordinator, Sub health coordinator, health store focal point with D/PHO, UNFPA and ADRA Nepal attended the training.
Resource persons of the training were Dr. Ashok Kumar Shah, Jhanak Raj Dhungana from District Health Office Achham. Training was facilitated by Man Bahadur Madai, Ghanashyam Bhatta and Harak sing Sahu.
"It is a great opportunity for me to improve work efficiency and gain skills on logistic and procurement system through the training. Since we are already in federal structure and we had a bit confusions about aligning our work with the new structure, this training was very helpful to execute our day to day professional work in the changed context. I will apply to this knowledge in the future for procurement planning, supply chain management and logistics system," said Chandra Prasad Dhungana, a participant of the training who works as Health Coordinator at Mangalsen Municipality Achham.
Resource person of the training Jhanak Raj Dhungana from (DHO) Achham expressed thanks to Management Division, Province 7 Ministry of Social Development, UNFPA and ADRA Nepal for organizing the training and making necessary coordination for to make it successful.
