Management Division (MD), Department of Health Services (DoHS), with the financial and technical support from ADRA Nepal, organized a four-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on Basic Health Logistics and Procurement System in Nepalgunj from 30 July to - 2 August 2018.
ADRA Nepal is supporting to Government of Nepal (GoN) to strengthen Procurement and Basic Logistics Management through capacity building activities under Family Planning Services Strengthening Project (FPSSP) funded by UNFPA.
A total of 21 participants from Palikas (rural and urban municipalities) of province five and seven, Provincial Ministry, UNFPA, JSI and ADRA Nepal attended the training.
Resource persons of the training were Babu Ram Lamichhane, Tanka Prasad Paudyal, Prem Adhikari, Gagan Singh Bista, Gyan Bahadur B.C., Kedar Nath Upreti, Rebati Thapa and Udev Man Maharjan.
"The training was quite contextual giving us an idea as to how to work in the federal structure. The information I have gained from the training has strengthened my knowledge and skills," said Daya Krishna Pant, one of the participants, from Social Development Ministry.
Ramesh Prasad Adhikari, Director at Management Division of DoHS, Ministry of Health and Population congratulated the participants for getting the status of the trainer. He also thanked ADRA Nepal and UNFPA for strengthening government's logistics system through capacity building in 15 districts.
