Central Project Advisory Committee (CPAC) meeting was held on 24 January 2018 at Social Welfare Council (SWC) in Lainchaur Kathmandu to review two projects of ADRA Nepal. The CPAC Meeting was held for the projects namely Enhancing Livelihood of the Smallholder Famers in Central Districts in Terai (ELIVES) and Good Governance and Livelihood Project (GOAL).
The meeting was chaired by SWC acting director Mr. Hari Tiwari and co-chaired by ADRA Nepal country director Mr. Josue Orellana.
ADRA Nepal Program Director Ms. Bidya Mahat welcomed all the participants. Mr. Salil Bhattarai, Team Leader for Livelihood Programs at ADRA Nepal presented the progress of ELIVES projects and Mr. Kabir Ratna Sthapit, Program Coordinator for GOAL Project presented the progress of GOAL project. Similarly, Mr. Yuba Raj Chaudhary, Admin and Finance Director presented financial aspects of both projects. The presentations highlighted the feedback of mid-term evaluation and suggestions from past CPAC meetings, initiatives taken to address those feedback and the progress of the projects achieved so far.
Representatives from different ministries and SWC attended the meeting. They provided feedback for both projects. In addition, they also suggested ADRA Nepal bring long-term projects, work closely with local levels, become demand-driven in identifying the needs and implement specific programs by narrowing down geographical area instead of scattering the activities to create an impact to the community.
ADRA Nepal Country Director Mr. Orellana expressed a vote of thanks to all participants for joining the meeting and providing their valuable feedback and expressed commitment that the feedback will be taken into consideration in the future.
