16 Days Campaign Marked

Good Governance and Livelihood (GOAL) project and Sworgadwari Municipality (Pyuthan) jointly conducted 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence in Sworgadwari municipality ward No 6.

The 16 day campaign was conducted from November 25 to December 10.

Meanwhile, a rally was organized to mark the campaign that was participated by enterprise education groups, mothers groups, cooperatives and schools. The rally was converted into a gathering after passing through the villages.

Mayor of the Municipality Mr. Netra Bahadur Rokaya addressed the gathering. The rally delivered the messages on the abolition of gender based violence, women human rights, girl education rights, anti-early child marriage through play cards. Around 80 women and men participated in the event.

GOAL project, funded by Australian Government DFAT, has been conducting Day Celebration events to create and sensitize local stakeholders and communities on various social and environmental issues.
