A delegation comprising the representatives of Director and Chief of Family Welfare Section of Family Health Division, DFID, UNFPA, NHSSP and ADRA Nepal visited sites of UNFPA Nepal Family Planning Project (UNFPP) in four project districts. The joint monitoring team visited sites in Rautahat, Sarlahi, Udaypur and Sunsari from 27 February to 1st March 2018.
The purposes of visit were to monitor the progress of DFID Nepal Family Planning Project activities as part of the NFPP annual review, Interact with beneficiaries and health service providers (HSPs) on the services provided through DFID’s support and to Interact with government health officials, municipal officials and elected local represented regarding the health services and health system in the context of federalization.
The team started its visit from Rautahat district, meeting with D/PHO, ADRA field staff. In Sarlahi, the team interacted with Mayor of local Bagamati Municipality and staff of ADRA and Dhungrekhola health post. Similarly, the team met with DPHO of Udaypur and visited the Sundarpur PHC for interaction with health facility staffs, beneficiaries, and health facility operation and management committee and observed ASRH services. In Sunsari, the team held interaction with ADRA’s visiting service providers, DPHO and health facility staff of Harinagara health facility. The team also visited Itahari PHC to observe family planning and Adolescent friendly services.
