The world environment day has been celebrated in Swargadwari Municipality Ward no 4 in Pyuthan by planting sapling of 110 plants. The day was celebrated jointly by different organizations such as Municipality, Ward, Division Forest Office, Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), cooperatives, groups and GOAL project .
 
Followed by the plantation of rally marched along Bhingri bazaar and IT park with play cards bearing different slogans on environment protection. The rally conversed into a meeting which was addressed by the Municipality Mayor and Chief District Officer.
 
On the occasion, the fund of Rs 10,500 collected to protect the planted seedlings from public grazing and watering regularly was handed over to the ward chairperson. FNCCI has also contributed 15 dustbins to be placed in public places across the municipality.
 
Similar events were conducted in Rolpa district as well by planting sapling in surrounding of ward office and school of Ghodaugn. GOAL project supports to local authorities for day celebration.
