Massive flood in the southern part of Nepal caused a huge damage in July 2019. The flood and inundation damaged houses and swept away crops and food grains leaving thousands of people under food shortage for next several months. Considering the critical needs for food, ADRA Nepal distributed food items to 37,00 households in Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi and Rautahat districts this week.
The relief assistance was funded by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and distribution was facilitated by local partners namely Social Development & Research Center (SDRC), Community Development and Forum for Advocacy (CDAFN), Bagmati Welfare Society Nepal (BWSN) and Rural Development Center (RDC).
