Two health facilities have been handed over to the local government after maintenance and upgrade with medical equipment in Banke district.
Khaskusma Health Post and Kachanapur Health Post of Raptisonari rural municipality ward number 1 and 2 were upgraded by ADRA and Environment and Rural Development Center (INRUDEC) through financial assistance from the government of Japan under Improvement of Neonatal and Child Health (IMNCH) Project.
The project upgrades five health posts and Bheri hospital with renovation and medical equipment required for newborn and child health. The project also provides training to the health workers and raises awareness for improvement of new born and child health.
Two health posts were handed over amidst separate functions in the respective health posts on 20 February 2020.
“ I believe that the rural community will be benefited by taking services from improved health facilities, it will help improve health of new born and child,” said ADRA Nepal country director Leighton Fletcher during handover ceremony, “I want to thank local government for providing us an opportunity to support in strengthening health facilities.”
